Shelter and rehabilitation

Our Shelter

The HHFSS shelter serves as a safe haven for animals that have nowhere else to go.

A safe haven for recovery and lifelong care.

Many of the animals in our care require weeks or even months of medical treatment before they recover. Others remain permanently because age, disability, or chronic medical conditions make independent survival impossible.

The shelter provides

  • Safe accommodation
  • Daily nutritious meals
  • Fresh drinking water
  • Medical treatment
  • Recovery and rehabilitation areas
  • Isolation for infectious diseases when required
  • Regular cleaning and sanitisation
  • Continuous monitoring by caregivers

The rhythm of care

Every day begins with essential care.

Every day begins with feeding, cleaning, administering medicines, wound care, and monitoring each animal's health.

Sustaining the shelter

Continuous care needs continuous support.

Running the shelter requires continuous support for:

  • Food
  • Medicines
  • Veterinary treatment
  • Staff salaries
  • Fuel
  • Sanitation
  • Emergency rescue operations
