About HHFSS

Our Story

It began with a simple decision: if an injured animal was found on the roadside, someone had to help.

01Beginning

A simple decision to help

Helping Hands for Speechless Souls was never planned as an organisation.

It began with a simple decision: if an injured animal was found on the roadside, someone had to help.

02Rescues at home

One rescue became many

In the early days, rescued animals were cared for at home. As the number of rescues increased, temporary arrangements quickly became insufficient. One rescue became ten. Ten became fifty.

Soon, caring for abandoned and critically injured animals became a full-time responsibility rather than an occasional act of kindness.

03Growing need

A dedicated system takes shape

Recognising the growing need for organised animal welfare in Haridwar, HHFSS was formally established to create a dedicated rescue and rehabilitation system for animals with nowhere else to go.

04Rescue and recovery

Care through critical conditions

Since then, the organisation has rescued animals suffering from road accidents, severe infections, abuse, starvation, fractures, maggot wounds, paralysis, tick fever, and other life-threatening conditions.

Many animals arrive frightened, injured, or close to death. Through medical treatment, patience, and compassionate care, many recover and eventually live healthy lives within the shelter or are reunited with caring families.

05HHFSS today

The work continues in Haridwar

Today, HHFSS operates as a dedicated animal rescue organisation in Haridwar, caring for animals while responding to emergency rescue calls, providing medical support, and promoting responsible animal welfare throughout the community.

The journey continues because every day another animal needs help.
